Your swing speed with your driver or with your 5 iron or 6 iron gives us an idea of how stiff or flexible the butt section of your shaft needs to be.

How you start your downswing, or your transition force will also help determine the butt section to a degree and how stiff of flexible the middle section of your shaft should be.

Combined with the tempo of your swing and downswing we can determine overall flex and middle section.

The release point in your swing will help determine the middle and tip section combination for your best shaft fit.

Finally your physical strength and overall fitness, or your athleticism will help determine the final aspects of your shaft and where the weight needs to be in your finished club.

Design features include:

The right bounce for each loft to hit the right shot with the right wedge.

The V’ed off sole grind making it more narrow so you can use it even on fairly tight lies

The rounded heel to make is easy to lay the face open for flop shots

Weather it’s the 52° to fill the gap between the PW and SW, or the 56° SW that works in shallow traps and fluffy or deep traps depending on how much you lay it open, or the 60° to pop those missed approaches over a trap, these wedges work!

Try a matched set of wedges made only for your short game and less than full shots, not built for full shots. You’ll be amazed at how much your short game will improve.

The face is CNC milled with micro groves to greatly improve on spin. Long shots or short shots are going to spin better. If you have trouble spinning your wedges you’ll love our wedges. We custom fit our CNC milled micro-grooved wedges for every customer. From Decades of studying and fitting golf clubs we know that certain characteristics of your golf swing and physical ability can change the flex and flex profile of the golf shaft you need, and the swing weight or MOI of your clubs.

To determine your release point use the clock faces to show when your wrists begin to release, not whey your hands turn over. The moment your wrists begin to un-cock is your release point. As long as your wrists are fully cocked you have not released. But, the instant they begin to un-cock or unhinged if you will, that is your release point. To determine your release point imagine standing in front of the clock face when you swing. Use the position when your wrist begin to break in your downswing.

Your height and your wrist to floor length is important in determining the finished length of your wedges. Your shot shape is also important to determine the finished swing weight or MOI for your wedges. See the chart below

The Making of the EX Golf CNC-1913 wedge set

The birth of a new extraordinary set of wedges begins with an idea. What will play best for most golfers? What will give great performance? What is the most economic way to produce the best possible heads for the most affordable cost? How much trade off is there between a slight performance loss and a slight cost advantage. We looked at forged and cast heads. We looked at the performance of forged versus cast heads. We looked at feel issues between forged and cast. We looked a cost to produce forged versus cast heads. What we found is there is no real difference between the performance of a good forged head and a good cast head but there is a significant cost difference. But some golfers believe the feel of a forged head is better than the feel of a cast head. We decided that for the average golfer the feel difference did not amount to as much as the cost difference. For equal performance we did not think paying twice as much for a forged head is something the vast majority of average golfers would care for. We found in our research that 431 stainless steel would be the best of the cast clubs. It gives comparable performance if not the same, as forged and it allows custom fitting for loft and lie up to 2° for each, and we chose satin finish to allow customer grinding for those who desire to change the design to fit their needs. Stainless steel can be custom ground and buffed out to look just like a new head.

The prototype shows off the features of our CNC – 1913 without the logos and brand in the way. From the top down a great playing head. The eased off heel for better address when hitting flop shots to the eased off bounce that narrows the sole just enough to keep from digging but still allow the face full contact off the turf with no fear of catching a shot thin.
