Steel Shafts

We have our special shaft design profile for wedges and probably unlike most any other design.

Our shaft profile was selected by Roy Nix, Golf Pro and Master Clubfitter and clubmaker. Roy played high school and college golf back in the 1960s and 1970s when wedges were played a bit differently than today. Back then the iron set was 2 through 9 iron and if you wanted a Pitching wedge it was a separate item. Roy’s pitching wedge was a bit different as was his sand wedge. Both were X flex tipped to length. Because he played mostly less than full shots with them and the sand wedge mostly out of sand. He liked to take the short swing and really accelerate through the ball with a long follow through most of the time.

Our shafts are a bit stiffer in the mid section of the shaft with a bit softer tip Our shafts are a bit stiffer in the mid section of the shaft with a bit softer tip section than most might think of for the mid section. We fit them a little extra if you fill in the information on our fitting form. We think you’ll see an improvement in your short game with our shafts.

They work well with putters too.
